Whether you’re a seasoned festival-goer or a newcomer to outdoor concerts, packing properly can make the difference between a memorable experience and an uncomfortable one.
Some of the products mentioned in this list do not sponsor ThyArtNoise and are not included as advertisements—these are simply recommendations.
Here’s an essential list of items you should bring to enjoy the festival without any issues.

Festival Card
Rockstadt Extreme Fest is now a cashless festival, meaning you won’t have to worry about carrying cash.
Here’s what you need to know about festival cards and how to get one:
If you attended previous editions of the festival, you can reuse your old Rockstadt Festival Card.

You can get a festival card on-site by paying a 10 RON deposit, which can be paid in cash or by card.
The card can be loaded with money at any top-up station inside the festival area, using cash or a bank card.
You can check your balance at any bar or food stand. Merchandise items are also paid for without cash.
Earplugs or Hearing Protection
If you enjoy standing right next to the stage barrier, your ears will thank you for bringing protection.
A recommended option is the Alpine MusicSafe Pro Black earplugs.
Camping Equipment
If you’ve opted for the full festival experience and plan to camp, preparation is key.
Backpack
If you’re carrying all your own camping gear, a 40L hiking backpack should be more than enough for five days.
Tent, Sleeping Bag & Sleeping Pad (for 1 person)
A two-person tent is ideal, giving you enough space for yourself and your gear without feeling cramped.
The tent should be compact and easy to carry in your backpack.
There are different ways to pack a tent efficiently inside a backpack.
Clothes and your sleeping bag should go at the bottom of the backpack since you won’t need them until you reach the campsite.

Your sleeping bag should be neither too thick nor too thin, as nights can be cold even in summer.
A sleeping pad (foam mat) or an inflatable mattress is essential for comfort after a long festival night.
A foam sleeping pad is lighter, takes up less space, and won’t puncture compared to an inflatable mattress.
A small pillow is useful, but to save space, you can use a rolled-up hoodie inside the sleeping bag cover as a makeshift pillow.
Folding Chair
You won’t realize how much you need this until you don’t have one.
Weather-Appropriate Gear
The weather in Râșnov is unpredictable. Even if the forecast says it won’t rain, you’ll want to be prepared.
A rain poncho is something you don’t think you need until you do.
Waterproof hiking boots or sneakers will keep your feet dry—there’s no point in staying dry if your shoes are soaked.
Warm clothing: A hoodie and long pants are essential for cold evenings.
Extra Clothes
Extra socks and underwear.
T-shirts: One per day, plus two extras in case of emergencies (about 7-8 shirts for 5 days).
Power Bank & Waist Bag
A portable battery is a must-have. Charging stations will be limited, so be prepared.
A waist bag will keep all your essentials—keys, phone, wallet—easily accessible during the festival.
Personal Hygiene
Must-have hygiene products:
Shower gel, deodorant, shampoo
Toothpaste & toothbrush
Sunscreen & lip balm
Wet wipes
Other Useful Accessories
Flip-flops – useful for showers and night-time bathroom trips.
Headlamp – very handy for going to the toilet at night.
Sunglasses
Hat or cap
Mosquito spray
Hand sanitizer & wet wipes
Reusable cutlery, canned food, and energy snacks
A reusable water bottle
Now that you have your Rockstadt Extreme Fest essentials list, all that’s left is to get ready and enjoy the festival!
